Our Mission
The primary purpose of the New Braunfels Chapter (“Chapter”) is to provide baseball umpires for High School baseball teams which have requested service from the chapter. It has a secondary responsibility to provide umpires to area Amateur and Youth leagues which have requested service from the Chapter. This website is to provide information, education and recruit new umpires. Our umpires have experience at various levels including pro, collegiate and high school.
How we measure success
- Providing classroom and field training prior to the baseball season.
- Reviewing case plays, NFHS Rules/Guidelines and ensuring the proper application of rules.
- Mentoring new umpires with a veteran umpire to build a positive rapport and field confidence.
- Ensuring safety is being held at the highest standard for all participants.
